The Multibar Angelfish, also known as the Many Banded Angelfish or Multibarred Angelfish, is a captivating marine species native to the Indo-Pacific. Let’s explore more about these delightful fish:

  1. Appearance:

    • The Multibar Angel boasts individual black and yellow vertical bands arranged in an “every other” fashion.
    • Each black band is bordered by a thin stripe of white.
    • The tail transitions from white to yellow, adorned with small black speckles.
  2. Habitat and Distribution:

    • These angelfish inhabit coral reefs in parts of Australia, as well as throughout Melanesia and Micronesia.
    • Interestingly, they have also been reported from Marquesan waters in French Polynesia.
  3. Aquarium Care:

    • Provide plenty of live rock and open swimming space.
    • Experienced aquarists are best suited to care for these captivating fish.
  4. Behavior and Feeding:

    • Generally peaceful towards other fish, but they can be aggressive if their territory is invaded.
