1. Appearance:

   • The adult Radiant Wrasse has a dark red body with colors becoming lighter at the edges and fins.
   • Its head is a bright gold color, with the yellow tones continuing along the dorsal fin.
   • The coloration of juveniles is more muted.

2. Habitat:

   • Radiant Wrasses are found in areas of rubble and sand around reefs at depths ranging from 6 to 43 meters (20 to 141 feet).
   • They inhabit steep reefs with sandy bottoms and are often seen around large open areas of sandbeds, including seagrass beds and rubble piles.

3. Behavior and Care:

   • These wrasses are best suited for tanks with a sandbed. When stressed or scared, juveniles may hide under the sand.
   • At night, they remain undisturbed by most nocturnal predators, although some predators with sonar can detect prey items under the sand.
   • A sand bed of at least 2 inches in depth with fine sand is recommended.
   • Radiant Wrasses feed mainly on zooplankton.

   • The Radiant Wrasse can reach a total length of up to 11.5 centimeters (4.5 inches).
