    • Centropyge heraldi is a yellowish-orange fish with a patch of darker olive around the eye.
    • It has 15 dorsal fin spines and 15 soft rays, as well as 3 anal fin spines and 17 soft rays.
    • The maximum total length of this species is around 12 centimeters (4.7 inches).
  2. Distribution:

    • Found in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean.
    • Ranges from southern Japan and Taiwan to the Tuamotu Islands and south to Australia.
    • In Australia, it occurs along the Great Barrier Reef and some Coral Sea reefs 
  3. Habitat and Behavior:

    • Centropyge heraldi inhabits depths between 8 and 45 meters (26 to 148 feet).
    • Commonly found on outer reef slopes and occasionally on lagoon reefs.
