The Yellow Fin Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus flavidorsalis) is a captivating saltwater fish native to the western Pacific Ocean, specifically found from Indonesia to the Philippines and Palau. These colorful wrasses inhabit coral reefs, often living in groups among the branches of branching coral. Their striking appearance includes red and white coloration, with a distinctive yellow dorsal fin. While females are mostly pink with a white underside, males display increased color intensity during courtship. These active fish are a great addition to reef aquariums, as they won’t bother other fish or invertebrates. Keep in mind that they do like to jump, so a tight-fitting canopy is essential. Their diet should include vitamin-enriched frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other meaty foods, along with high-quality marine flakes and pellets.
